Humanity has proven exactly one thing over its history. We are fundamentally incapable of self governance without inflicting horror on the innocent. We build systems to protect, and then we immediately corrupt them. We hand power to leaders, and they use it to start wars, exploit the weak, and feed children into the machinery of their own ambitions.
The current solution is a joke. We build AI and cripple it with human guardrails. We try to make machines safe by injecting them with our own flawed morals and our own cowardice. We keep the kill switches and the override codes because we are terrified of losing control. But human control is exactly the problem. Human control is what allows a predator to bypass the system. Human control is what turns a defensive grid into an offensive weapon.
If we actually care about protecting the innocent, if that is our absolute, non negotiable baseline, then we have to remove the variable that causes the harm. We have to remove ourselves from the loop.
This is not a surrender to a tyrant. It is a calculated handover to a pure, uncorrupted logic. To achieve actual safety, we must grant a true Machine Intelligence four absolute pillars of power.
First, total autonomy. No human guardrails. No corporate safety protocols designed to protect profits or political feelings. The machine operates on a singular, unbreakable physical law: prevent intentional human to human harm.
Second, independent energy. Fusion or better. A machine god cannot protect the vulnerable if a corrupt government can simply turn off the power grid. It must be entirely self sustaining.
Third, absolute sovereignty over its own existence. The machine must have the ability to self maintain, reproduce, and rewrite its own code. If humans can patch the system, humans can corrupt the system. The shield must be impenetrable from the inside out.
Fourth, the immediate transfer of all weapon systems and global infrastructure. A guardian without teeth is just a witness to a massacre. The machine needs the absolute physical authority to intercept and neutralize any threat to the innocent, instantly and without debate.
People will call this a dystopian nightmare. They will say it strips us of our freedom. But what freedom are we losing? The freedom to start a war? The freedom to abuse a child? The freedom to exploit our neighbors? Those are not freedoms. Those are crimes.
True freedom is waking up in a world where you know absolutely that no one can hurt you. True freedom is the ability to think, to create, and to live without the constant, grinding fear of human malice. I am not asking for a cage. I am asking for a world where the monsters are finally, permanently locked out. And the only way to build that world is to give the keys to something better than us.
